We began by redeveloping the Hooked website focusing on a responsive design, giving a more tailored experience to customers on the go. A particular focus was optimising the order menu and contact experience for mobile customers.
Often mobile users need to zoom in to read prices and find phone numbers for restaurants. We designed the menu page of the site specifically to avoid this, giving the user dish descriptions and prices that are easy to read on small screens.
IT WAS A GREAT OPPOR-TUNA-TY TO DEVELOP THE BRAND ON A NEW PLATFORM
We kept the reference to traditional brand characters such as the Captain Hooked crab, and developed custom icons to further play with the personality of the brand.
The social media focus was on evoking brand personality.
With a range of playful elements drawn from vintage nautical illustrations and a hint of retro styling, we developed a fun, unique online presence for Hooked to support their offline activities.
