We were approached to provide launch branding for boutique architecture firm Scape Urban Design. The scope of work included brand identity, printed collateral, website design and development.
Scape is heavily involved in delivering new housing design and planning on large land development projects. We were required to convey industry experience and technical proficiency. A further objective was to establish a distinctive brand that leveraged the nature of their business; the built environment, creativity and planning.
Influenced by this layered work approach, we developed a suite of logos that reference the idea of layers. Our designs speak to the 3D quality inherent in architectural drawings and how multiple elements combine to tell the full story.
MULTIPLE LAYERS TELL THE FULL STORY
The result is a visually unique brand mark made of up of geometric shapes which combine to form the brandmark. We developed 5 versions of the brand identity for different applications that all reference the framework inherent within architectural practice, while still retaining strong ties to the main brand.
We offset the abstract quality of the logo with a pared back website design which references the geometry of the brandmark. This design creates space for a series of black and white visuals to be partially displayed within an asymmetrical cut-out grid.
